Wenhong's day started out tough. He's still sick and even after sleeping 12 1/2 hours, he was tired.
We visited his orphanage this morning, but they wouldn't let us see much. He was pretty quiet. It's in the part of Taiyuan in which he lived, you'll see a picture of us with the rock he was photographed with a few weeks ago. When we drove in to town, he told us he lived there. There was a bit of a scene when his foster grandparents showed up at the orphanage. We got through it, but Brad and I were as shaken up as he was.
Then we went to his finding spot. The Taiyuan train station is very crowded.
We then had the afternoon to ourselves. His attention span is very short so we did many activities. We played trucks, and with a toy gun someone at the orphanage gave him (not just a gun, but an AK 47 with a bayonet - lovely) until there was an unfortunate accident with the batteries in it :). We also took a walk a few blocks down the street. We can't convince him to get near the pool, though we did play trucks by it.
He fell asleep again at 5:30 (which would be great if we had more than a literally 15x15 foot hotel room).
That's it for today. Tomorrow to the Jincci Temple (I probably spelled that wrong), but unfortunately I guess it will only take about an hour. Days are long when you are stuck in a hotel room all day, and can't go anywhere on your own. We hope Guangzhou will be better as there will be more English speakers there. Can't believe we still have a week left. We'd like to come home.

The long hours of sleeping might be his way of dealing with stress as well. Parenting in a hotel room is no fun. Thinking of you during this time. Keep up the great pictures.
